Q: Does Final Uninstaller support Vista?
A: Yes, Final Uninstaller is compatible with 32bit versions of Windows Vista including: Window Vista Enterprise, Windows Vista Business, Windows Vista Starter, Windows Vista Home Basic, Windows Vista Home Premium and Windows Vista Ultimate.

Q: Does Final Uninstaller support 64bit operating systems?
A: No. Final Uninstaller doesn’t support 64bit operating systems at the moment.

Q: How to remove Final Uninstaller from my computer?
A: Final Uninstaller can be easily removed from Start menu: Start -> All programs -> Final Uninstaller -> Uninstall Final Uninstaller.
Or you can go to Control Panel from Start menu and open Windows Add/Remove program, then find Final Uninstaller in the list and click the Remove button.
Another way is to simply run: C:\ Program Files\FinalUninstaller\unins000.exe

Usage Questions

Q: I used Windows Add/Remove Programs to uninstall a program several months ago. Can Final Uninstaller still find the leftover items so I can delete them?
A: Yes. If the program has been added into our database as supported software, Final Uninstaller can detect its leftover items and completely remove them. To check all supported software listed in our database, click here.

Q: Do I need to close the application I want to uninstall first before using Final Uninstaller?
A: No, you don’t have to do that. Final Uninstaller will automatically close the application you selected before the execution of the uninstallation.

Q: How to uninstall an application with Final Uninstaller?
A: Select the application in the Scan Results list and click the Clean button to remove them. For step by step uninstall instructions, click here.

Q: Do I need to log on as administrator to remove programs?
A: Yes, you must have administrative privileges to be able to uninstall some programs. An administrator has the right to modify anything on a computer, including removing files and folders from your system, deleting registry keys in Windows Registry and modifying the settings of the operating system. Non-administrators have restricted rights and are not allowed to do certain thins. So, before using Final Uninstaller, make sure you have administrator rights.

Q: Can I use Final Uninstaller to remove a program that is not listed in Windows Add/Remove Programs?
A: If the program has been added into our database you can uninstall it! To check all supported software listed in our database, click here. If it has not been listed you can submit it to us so we can analyze and add it to the database later.

Q: Can I view the detailed installation information of a certain application before uninstalling it?
A: Yes. If the software is supported you can view its detailed installation information by double clicking on it. You will turn to a new window where all its registry and file information are displayed. Then just click on the Clean button to completely uninstall them easily.

Q: After scanning, why some items on the list of installed applications are displayed red and labeled unsupported?
A: Final Uninstaller can only uninstall those applications that have been added into our database. But it will scan for all applications installed in your computer. When the unsupported applications are detected, they are listed red and can’t be uninstalled for the time being.

Q: Is it common to have a lot of unsupported software listed after scanning?
A: The results of the scan varied widely. Some users may have a lot of unsupported software listed after scanning. Because we add most commonly used programs into our database first. Then we will cater to registered users’ need to add the software they submitted into the database. We can not guarantee that every program installed in every user’s computer is supported by Final Uninstaller, but we do try hard to add as many unsupported programs as you want into our database.

Q: If I still want to uninstall unsupported software, what else can I do?
A: In order that Final Uninstaller can uninstall those unsupported software, we provide software submission function which helps you conveniently submit unsupported software to us. To know more about how to submit software to us, click here. We will report these submissions to our tech guys for analysis. Once the applications you submitted have been added into our database, you can update your Final Uninstaller to the latest version and uninstall them.

Q: When I deleted files and rescanned a min later, why are the removed files back?
A: 1. Check if you have logged on as administrator. Make sure you have administrator rights.
2. Check if your Final Uninstaller is the latest version. You can click the “Online Upgrade” button at the bottom of Final Uninstaller to update it to the latest version.
3. If the program still can’t be completely removed, submit it to us. The more specific information you provide to us, the better we can understand the nature of the problem and give you a solution.

Q: How can I submit a program that Final Uninstaller doesn’t support of failed in uninstallation?
A: Registered users can click on the Submit Software button at the bottom of the main panel of Final Uninstaller and fill in the submit form directly. For unregistered users, we also provide submit form online. The registered user' submissions are prior to be handled and the database is updated mainly according to their demands.

Q: How can I know my submission is successful?
A: After submitting your program, you can check it on the Submitted page of our site. All submitted programs are listed here before they are added into our database. If you can’t find your program listed, please submit it again.

Q: I have used the submit form on your site, but I haven’t received any reply from you! Will my submission be viewed?
A: Our support team will contact you within 2 workdays after receiving your submission if you leave your email address in the submit form. Please make sure that your email address is correctly written. Whether leaving an email or not, you can rest assured that every submission will be carefully viewed and actively tracked.

Q: I submitted a program several days ago and I find it is still on the Submitted Software list on your site. How long should I wait for a solution?
A: We completely understand the frustration that the program you submitted still listed on our site as unresolved issues. Since we receive many submissions everyday, only registered users’ submissions are prior to be handled. We have been multiplying our efforts to process all submissions and trying to add them into the database as many as possible. We should appreciate your patience while we work to fix these submissions.

Q: How can I know the program I submitted has been added into Final Uninstaller’s database?
A: As soon as it is added we’ll inform you via email If you have left your email address in the submit form. Or you can check our blog for latest database update news to see whether your submitted program has been added into the database.

Q: How can I find and install Final Uninstaller updates? Do I need to uninstall Final Uninstaller first?
A: Final Uninstaller updates rather often. You can manually update your Final Uninstaller to the latest version whenever by clicking on the Online Upgrade button at the bottom of the main panel.
A better way is to turn on Auto Updates which can easily be configured in the setting interface. Click on the Setting button on the top right of the main panel. Then check the item “Check for Uninstaller update automatically” in the Update Options pane.
Product updates and details are announced on the Blog page. You can subscribe to our RSS feeds and update announcements will be delivered to you automatically.
In most cases you can install an update to Final Uninstaller without uninstalling your current version of it.

Licensing Questions

Q: Why Final Uninstaller should be registered?
A: Final Uninstaller is distributed on the Limited Function Try before You Buy basis. You can free download Final Uninstaller and scan for leftover files and registry of programs installed in your computer, but the Clean function is limited before registering. All limitations will be removed as soon as you register your copy of Final Uninstaller.

Q: How to purchase the registration key?
A: You can visit the registration page (http://www.finaluninstaller.com/register/) to purchase the key by credit card or PayPal.
When you choose to pay on “Credit Card” or “PalPal”, you will be directed to ClickBank who sells our products. After completing your payment you should return to the Final Uninstaller website where you will receive your registration key. At the same time we will also send an email to you with the registration key. Then run Final Uninstaller. Click on the “Register” button on the top of the main panel. A registration key input form will appear. Use a clipboard to copy (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the key instead of typing it manually to avoid miscopying.

Q: How many licenses do I need?
A: If you want to use Final Uninstaller on N unique computers, you need N single licenses (Single license authorizes the use of the software on a single computer). Discounts are available for buying multiple licenses for Final Uninstaller.
