Hi,

Why do you need a database really?
The best installer is a program who monitor what has been written to the HD and then removes it i think. for that you need to
1) make a image of the files on HD before install
2) make a image of the registry on HD before install
3) install
4) compare what has changed on 1&2.
5) save the changes.

There was this application called cleansweep along time ago but Norton destroyed it and so far i dont know any other program which does a proper uninstall so please explain why your uninstaller is any different from the other uninstallers with a flashy interface and does the same job as windows own installer more or less ?

1.) Our developers have considered the monitor technology before. The disadvantage of using a monitor is slow system performance. Because recording everything that has been written to the HD requires real-time monitoring, which takes up a lot of system resources. On the other hand, if real-time monitoring can’t be be realized, it will backfire and an incomplete record will lead to new uninstall problems.

2.) As for the image comparison, our technicians have brought it into development plan. Thank you for your suggestion! Snapshot is good but it still has a problem: only IT professionals konw what to delete and what not to delete. So Final Uninstaller tech team will provide snapshot as a professional function in the future.

3.) Why do we need a database? With database Final Uninstaller can guarantee the most fast, safe and complete uninstall of the applications listed on the database. What Final Uninstaller do is not the same job as windows own uninstaller. You should remember that Windows Add/Remove Programs is just a shell, which means it provides an interface only and calls other programs’ own uninstaller when you run it. While our uninstall is based on the database, Final Uninstaller removes files and registry entries according to the database records, which is an easy way to completely uninstall programs.
