Key Changes in Version 2.0:
|
| On November 11, 2008 we launched a major upgrade to the Final Uninstaller, bringing it to the version 2.0. This version includes a few new features along with many optimizations of the previous version. Here’s a quick look at what’s new: |
- Uninstalling More Programs. We have improved Final Uninstaller’s internal frame to support uninstalling a lot more programs, including those that are not listed in our database while the previous version can only uninstall programs that have been added into the database. Theoretically speaking, Final Uninstaller can uninstall every program installed in end-users’ computer now.
- Support 3 Scan Modes. This new release allows users to choose an appropriate scan mode according to their different needs. Fast Scan, Normal Scan, and Accurate Scan are available now and users can configure Scan Mode in the Setting interface easily.
- Enhance Uninstall Function. This new release is able to uninstall complicated applications such as anti-virus software, CD/DVD burning software, malicious IE plug-ins, and other sophisticated big software. These are the most programs submitted to us by our users.

| Even though we tested the new version, it is mostly likely that some bugs will surface during the first few days. But you can rest assure that we will be on top of any bug that is reported. So, if you find a bug, please let us know. Send us feedback, and we will fix it as soon as possible. |

| Recently we fixed some of the bugs that have been bugging some of you for some time and now we upgrade Final Uninstaller to version 1.7.7. The issues we addressed: |

- Add the function to recognize important system directory during the scanning process to avoid deleting files by mistake.
- Strengthen the ability to recognize residues of programs.
- Fix bug that registry can’t be completely deleted when the key value name is directory.

Final Uninstaller Team rolled out version 1.7 of its software on Saturday. The latest software update is a 1.27 MB file, and you should be able to download it by clicking here.

Add “clean” button to support 1-click clean function when entering the detailed information interface where you can view the left files and registry entries of a certain program.

| Back in August, the Final Uninstaller Team released a first version of a test with current and brand new web technologies and provided free 30-day full featured trial. Since then, we’ve received positive feedback from our end users. Thanks to them we have been able to bring quite a few improvements and bug fixes to the test, and are now happy to release a new stable version 1.6 of Final Uninstaller. |
Changes since the previous release

| Since the first release, the main changes brought to the test are: |
- The software which leaves remnants from unsuccessful uninstallation and the complete software installed in user’s computer will be listed respectively in different tag, namely “Residual” and “installation”, in scan results interface.
- The version number will be simultaneous displayed with Final Uninstaller’s logo on the top of the main interface.
- Support scanning and uninstalling registry entries under HKEY_CURRENT_USER.
- Add operation instructions in Update Utility while online update decompressing.
